SD Marriage Services is run by us, a couple of former business professionals who 17+ years ago took our love of business and applied it to the business of love. In addition to officiating over 1500 weddings of all sizes, we also wrote Asked to Officiate, a A-to-Z guide for friend and family member officiants. In our experience we have learned that for many, the questions and information overload around making a wedding ceremony personal and making it legal causes un-necessary stress… which is why we started SD Marriage Services.
We are different than a county office because this is our focus, not just another take a number bureaucratic process in the large machine of government. From just wanting to make it legal to full package help, making your special day less stressful, SD Marriage Services has you covered.

Although California has 2 main marriage license types, non-confidential and confidential, we can only issue a confidential type of marriage license.
We actually recommend the confidential since, in this age of identity theft and other cyber crimes, protecting any personal information is important.
